Apian, Cosmographicus, 1524 (π1r)

This title page for the first edition of Peter Apian’s Cosmographicus has been printed in both black and red ink. Apian’s book on astronomy and navigation was very popular and was reprinted often, and his use of volvelles—movable diagrams—to assist the reader in understanding his calculations was also influential.
